Helen M. Egan, age 87, of Dover, passed away on August 3, 2012 at Genesis Healthcare in Milford. Born in Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia (Kovacs Lenart) Kasa. Helen was a Dover resident for over 30 years. She was very active in her community and her contributions were abundant. She spent many years performing volunteer work for the American Red Cross on the Dover Air Force Base, and USO Delaware. Helen served as docent for The Delaware Governor’s Mansion located in Dover. In her quieter moments she cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Egan. She is survived by her loving son, James A. Egan, of Sterling, VA.
A Service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:15 a.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in The Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
