Edward Archer, 92, of Wyoming, De died on October 4, 2010. Born in Simpson, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Rutkowski Archer. Mr. Archer served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He had been a chemist with Gibraltor Chemical of Lodi, NJ, retiring in 1972. Mr. Archer enjoyed football and in his quieter moments he cherished the time spent with his family. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, Mr. Archer is predeceased by his wife, Marion Kalsinski Archer and his son, Edward Alan Archer. He is survived by his loving daughter, Arlene Knopf and husband Larry Knopf, of Wyoming, De.; 2 brothers, Sylvester Archer, of Ca., and Vincent Archer, of Simpson, PA; half sister, Sylvia Tur, of Simpson, PA; and 4 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, October 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Entombment will be in the Holy Saviour Cemetery, York, PA.
