Ann L. McCabe Age 73
Ann McCabe of Dover, DE, passed away suddenly, April 9, 2023 at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover, DE.
She was born in Munich, Germany, the daughter of the late Norman "Mac" and Marjorie McCabe of Dover, DE. She moved to Delaware with her family in 1958 and was a graduate of Holy Cross H.S. in 1967.
She started a career with the Dept of Defense as an airplane mechanic on D.A.F.B,
a position she held for 43 years, retiring in 2016.
She enjoyed spending time with her horses and being on the family farm. In her quiet moments she
found pleasure in drawing, painting, and needlework and she cared for many cats and dogs of the years.
Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her son Jodi Ander in 2018.
She is survived by her sister Patty White, brothers Mike McCabe (Jackie) and Tom McCabe (Marj). Daughter in law Tricia Ander and grand kids; Rachael Ander, Laura Ander, and Mathew Ander.
Services will be held 1PM, Saturday April 15th at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE., where friends may start calling at 11:00 AM.
