Obituary for Ida Mondi (D'Abbraccio)
Ida Mondi (D’Abbraccio) of Dover, Delaware, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at her home.
She was born on December 10, 1951, to Nicola and Italia D’Abbraccio (Creatura) in Piedimonte Matese, Italy. She immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with her family where she finished high school and started her career as a CNA at Methodist Hospital.
She met her beloved husband, Giuseppe, in 1973, and they married on May 14, 1977. They had two children: Antonio (Nicole) and Michelle (Steven) before relocating to Bellmawr, New Jersey.
She was the most loving Nonna to her two grandchildren, Valentina and Alexander.
Ida is predeceased by her mother, Italia, and her brother, Mario.
She is survived by her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her brothers and sisters: Michelina (Antonio), Carlo, Pietro (Theresa), and Italo, her 12 nieces and nephews: Marina (Antonio), Italia (Domenico), Italia (Robert), Sebastiana (Stephen), Marco (Jennifer), Gianna (Matthew), Pietro (Maria), Antonella (Raffaele), Anna (Antonio), Christopher (Cindy), Elizabeth, Anthony, and her many great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:AM Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at The Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE 19901 followed by Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Viewing will be 6:PM to 8PM Tuesday November 29, 2022 at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, DE 19901.
