Ret. MSgt. Male "Red" Mooney of Dover, DE passed away on May 3, 2022. His age was 90.
MSgt. Mooney retired from the U.S.A.F. after serving 22 years. Mr. Mooney also retired from the State of DE. Dept. of Transportation.
He was an American Legion Member at Post #2 for many years and also was a member of the Eagle Creek Golf Course. He loved playing golf and had a passion for the game.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Makiko, sister Alice, sister Florence Duncan and her husband James, his brothers Joseph O'Neill and William O'Neill and his wife Debra.
His second wife Peggy, Niece Yevette Tucker; 4 nephews, Bobby Robinson, Ruben, Dale and Tommy O'Neill.
He is survived by his special sister-in-law, Agnes O'Neill, 3 nieces Audra O'Neill, Meg Hairston of Lexington, N.C. and Maria Wilson of Georgia. Six nephews Scott, Brian, Kevin, Mickey O'Neill and Ray and Butch Robinson all of Davidson County N.C.
Several other nieces and nephews. A close friend Roger Mettenbrink and his wife Dottie and friend Itsuko Naryu of Japan. No formal service is planned upon the wishes of "Red".
