Obituary for Sandra Hoyer (Reese)

Sandra Reese Hoyer of Dover, age 76 passed away peacefully at home Jan 2, 2023, Surrounded by family and she received her angel wings to be with her Lord.

Sandra was born February 3, 1946 to Bill and Hope Reese. She attended James Blair High School in Williamsburg, VA and received her Bachelor of Arts from college of William and Mary. Her initial job was teaching math and science in Danville, VA for 2 years. She moved to California and was employed by Levi Strauss & Co. Sandy returned to Williamsburg a few years later and obtained her MBA from William and Mary. She was hired by General Foods-Dover as a Financial Analyst for 8 years. She left GF/Kraft and was employed by the State of Delaware Treasurer's Office as a receipts and disbursement supervisor.
Sandy Traveled with her husband Tom by Amtrak across the country twice. She loved to snorkel in the Caribbean Islands. She enjoyed camping, crocheting,puzzles,gardening, watching the SF 49ers-Baltimore Orioles.

She is survived by husband Tom of 40 years and sister Linda Neidermeyer-San Diego, CA- sister in law Mary Gervan /Jim, Elizabeth Posadas/John, Louise Hoyer, brother in law Mike Hoyer and many nieces and nephews, Beth and Jamie of California, Hope Reese of Budapest Hungary, Alex Reese of New York. Sandy, you will be missed by all.
Sandy was a member of Christ Episcopal Church Choir-Dover and the singing ladies of Wyoming, DE.

In Addition to her parents, Sandy was Preceded in death by Brother Billy Reese-California and Brother in law George A. Hoyer.

A private memorial service was held at The Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, Dover.
Interment was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
The Family would like to thank the staffs of Bayhealth Hospital PCU 3rd flood and Complete Care at Silver Lake for the care given to Sandra and helpful friend Ken Bodine.
