Obituary for Paul R Clark Sr.

Paul Richard Clark, Sr, 85, of Camden, Delaware, passed away unexpectedly on 17 Oct 2021 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE.

Born in Homer, NY, in 1936, Paul left to join the Air Force in 1958, serving 25 years active duty before retiring at Dover AFB with a rank of CMSgt. He was fortunate enough to have the privilege of continue his civil service at Dover Air Force base, where he worked for 31 years as a purchasing agent for the Civil Engineer Squadron (CES). He truly enjoyed those he worked with within the squadron. Paul was a hard worker who passed his tireless work ethic on to his children. was beloved by all that knew him. He finally retired from CES in March 2019 at the age of 82. For Paul, the most essential part of his life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved meeting the family on Friday nights at whatever restaurant was decided on and hearing from everyone about how their week went. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean, his parents, George and Ruth, his siblings, George Jr, Barbara, Helen, Jim, and grandson, Gary Lee. He leaves behind his five children, Paul Clark Jr and his wife Dawn of Camden, DE, Lynn Utz and her husband Dennis of Felton, DE; Karen Lewis of Camden, DE; Lisa Miller and her husband Daniel of Apopka, FL, Tammy Bader and her husband John of Camden, DE. He is also survived by his fourteen grandchildren Andy, Laura and her husband Jerry, Brandi and her husband Nick, Jason and his wife Danielle, Bryan and his wife Melissa, Nicholas and his wife Afton, Eric and his fiancé Ivy, Caitlin and her husband Will (Billy), Shawn and Gabrielle, Amanda, Kayla, Cody and his wife Jordyn, Deven and Dalton and 17 great-grandchildren and one due in March 2022.

Viewing will be held from 5-7 pm on Friday, Oct 22, 2021, at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State, DOVER, with a celebration of life service at 7 pm. Entombment will take place on Monday, Nov 1, 2021, at 2 pm at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE, with full military honors. Donations in his memory could be made to the four charities he always supported, American Cancer Society, American Heart association, ASPCA, and St. Jude.
