Obituary for John "Jack" Beiser

John T. (Jack) Beiser, 89
Dover - John T. (Jack) Beiser passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his residence.
Jack was born November 9, 1931 in Nashville, TN to the late William C. Beiser, Sr. and Mary Elsie Beiser. They moved to Seaford, DE when he was 7 years old and met the love of his life, Janis, his junior year of high school. He graduated from Seaford High in 1950 and then attended University of Richmond on a football scholarship. In 1951 he left college and married Janis. They resided in Seaford until moving to New Castle in 1955 to persue an education in agriculture. Their first daughter came along and even though Janis was working, they needed more income, so Jack left school and worked as an insurance salesman. In 1959 they moved to Dover and now with three more daughters he began work for Layton & Co. where he soon became a manager. Jack had a desire to start his own company and in 1965, the land development company, Del. Homes, Inc. became a reality. He was a dedicated husband as he cared for Janis 24/7 for over 5 years during her final battle with cancer. They spent almost 63 years together before she went to heaven. He was a very generous man who gave back and paid forward to his church and many charities. He loved golfing and built Jonathan's Landing Golf Course in the early 90s, it was a happy place for Jack. Jack lived his life helping others, traveling, enjoying his favorite sports teams, and for his love of animals and family.
