Dear JoAnne & Mary Jean,

Please know that you are in our prayers, we were so sorry to hear the news of Leo’s passing. I am so glad that my Stephan and I got to enjoy your parents. Stephan and I always looked forward to visiting with them and later after the passing of your Mother, We made it our business to keep and eye on him and visit and just enjoy time with your Dad, when I told Stephan of his passing he said why didn’t God take me instead of Uncle Leo as he affectionately called. He will truly be miss. Sending heartfelt condolences Liz & Stephan.

Leo was the ultimate gentleman. A few months after my husband died in 2016, Leo asked me if I would like to go out to dinner.
As soon as I got in the car, he mentioned his late wife, Margaret, as if there could ever be any doubt about his devotion to her.
We had an enjoyable italian dinner. Later, when I brought him some Christmas cookies, he returned the favor a few days later with
cookies he had made himself, using Margaret's recipes. I was astonished. He also gave me a tour of his home, and especially
the numerous beautiful quilts that Margaret had created. He was a good neighbor, friendly to all, and liked by all. His definition
of what a man should be and what it meant to be a good husband and friend was woven into his DNA. I wish there were more just like him. I will miss him as will many others. He was a good, kind man. The world needs more like him.

PS I haven't had a dinner invitation since!
