Obituary for Dianne Frances Van Haitsma (Bankes)
Dianne F. Van Haitsma, 54, of Felton, De. died December 4, 2018. Born in Sewickley, PA, she was the daughter of the late George F. Bankes and Frances M. Bankes currently of Felton, DE. Prior to moving to Delaware Dianne had served as Office Assistant at the Camden Community College until disability forced her retirement.
She had been a dedicated Navy wife who followed her husband with each of his assignments. Dianne engaged in Family History and was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dover. She was a caring individual who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her father she was predeceased by two brothers, G. Douglas and David W. Bankes. Besides her mother Dianne leaves her husband, David Jay Van Haitsma, of Felton, DE. along with her sister, Denise D. Miller and husband, Ted of Dover, DE. Friends may call at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 237 W Lebanon Rd. Dover, DE on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 starting at 10 am. where Services will be conducted by Bishop Michael Ashton at 11 am. Interment will take place on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10 am at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. Family suggests donations in her memory to Delaware Hospice 911 S. Dupont Hwy,
