Marian C. Marano, 91, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Pinnacle Rehab. and Health Center, where she was a resident patient since 2012. Marian was born on July 23, 1926, in Hoboken, NJ, to John and Carmen Daliani. She married Anthony Marano on May 2, 1948. Tony and Marian lived in Weehawken, NJ, until Tony’s retirement in 1988, and years later they moved to Dover. Marian loved her whole family, she took care of her elderly parents, her aunts and mostly her husband in his prolonged illness. She was an excellent cook and treated her whole extended family to many festive dinners. She loved to read and enjoyed listening to her huge collection of music. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years in 2004, and her brothers, Francis and John. Marian is survived by her daughter Marianne Bruns of Dover, her sister-in-law Stephanie Daliani of Dover and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 12 noon in Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St. Dover.
