Aldona T. Dollinger, 89, of Dover, DE, was unexpectedly taken away on December 24, 2016 to celebrate Christmas with her “Heavenly Family”, consisting of her husband Kenneth, her daughter Kim, and baby son, Little Ken.
Born in Plains, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Marcella Yanulavage. To say that Donie was held in the highest regard by all who knew her is an understatement. Her unshakeable faith in God, despite hardships, sufferings, and deaths of those near and dear to her, was very visible. God’s Love is what she tried to share with everyone she met, by helping them in any way possible. In return, she was loved by all who met her.
Mrs. Dollinger leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Donna A. Para; son-in-law, Stephen Para; 4 grandchildren, James S. Para, and wife Debra; Danielle Usiatynski, and husband Steve; Mark D. Para; and Julie Hipkens, and husband Edward; 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Cassianne, Morgan, and Logan; 1 great-great grandchild, Olivia (whom she never met).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Donie’s memory be made to Little Sisters of The Poor, Jeanne Jugan Residence, 185 Salem Church Rd., Newark, DE 19713-2942 or to The American Lung Association by visiting www.lung.org/ Life’s End Services are by Michael J.
