Lionel E. Faust, age 89, of Camden, DE, died Nov.1, 2016 at Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE surrounded by family. Born in Irasburg, VT, he was the son of the late Romeo and Anna (Stewart) Faust. Mr. Faust had been a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church in Marydel, MD where he had previously been involved with the prayer group and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. For most of his life he had been a master carpenter. He had worked in Wilmington, DE until 1964 before moving to Marydel, DE where he became employed by E.J. Troise Construction Co., formerly J.S. Kramer, until he retired at the age of 76. He took great joy in building crafts for his children and grandchildren. He was a kind, patient, and gentle man who loved being with his family and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 68 years, Doris in 2015. He was also preceded in death by 1 sister and 7 brothers.
Mr. Faust leaves his four daughters, Paulette Kent, and husband Carl, of Marydel, DE, Jackie Tuxward of Camden, DE, Nancy Mooney, and husband Bob, of Camden, DE, and Lou Shea, and husband Mike, of Green Bay, WI; 1 brother and 2 sisters in VT; along with 10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A viewing will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State Street, Dover, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 522 Main St., Marydel, MD. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover, DE.
