Erma Offner (nee Longo), 89, of Dover, DE died peacefully on December 13, 2012. Born in Philadelphia, PA, and previously of Newnan, GA, Dorado, P.R. and Lansdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rosina Longo. A devout Catholic, Erma was a faithful member of Holy Cross Church and a member of the Century Club of Dover. She was also active in the Lady Elks, Lodge 1903. Mrs. Offner had a love of gardening and was a member of the Sprig and Twig Garden Club. She enjoyed golf and was a member of Maple Dale Country Club for many years. Erma also loved to bowl and was a league member of Club 55 and the Modern Maturity Center. In her quieter moments, she cherished the time spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Norma Pompilii and Virginia Lieninger. Erma is survived by her loving husband of 65 years John (Jack) Offner; 7 very loving and devoted children, James and wife Eileen, Gregory and wife Debbie, Bruce and wife Patricia, Eric and wife Jane, John and wife Aline, Pamela Moore, and Rosemary Bagwell and husband Michael. Mrs. Offner is also survived by 18 grandchildren who served as a source of constant joy in her life, James, Jr., Matthew, Suzanne MacIntyre, Gregory Jr., Michelle, Kelly Anne, Joseph and Elizabeth, Eric, Andrew, Brian, Lauren, Lindsey and Kasey, all of PA; Christopher of TX, Kelsey Bagwell, of GA, and Monique Rivera and Mitchell Moore, both of Dover; 15 great grandchildren, Alison, Colin, and Laura MacIntyre, Jake, Katie, Victoria, Matthew, Avery, Nathan, Hadley, Andrew, May, Annabelle, Mason, all of PA, and Addison of TX.; Sister-in-law, Anna Cutillo as well as many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover on Monday, Dec. 17th, 2012 at 11:00 am where friends may call beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
