Mary Jones, age 92, of Dover, DE died Monday July 28, 2014. Born in Davy, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Augustine Prevento.
Mrs. Jones and her husband had settled in Dover, DE in 1958 where she had worked for the Playtex Corp. for a brief period of time. She predominately spent most of her life as a dedicated wife and homemaker. She had been a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover where she was a frequent communicant until illness limited her mobility. She was a kind and generous person who will be missed by her many friends at the Dover Modern Maturity Center.
Besides her parents Mrs. Jones was predeceased by 9 of her siblings. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Ellis Jones of Dover, De along with 3 brothers; Enrico Prevento of Bear, DE, Mitch Prevento of Bluefield, W. VA and Jenyo Prevento of Lynchburg, Va. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover where Services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Delaware Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, De.
