Sophie Golaszewski, age 94 of Dover, Delaware died October 9, 2014. Born in New York, NY she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Samojedna Centkowski. Mrs. Golaszewski had owned and managed a retail liquor and food business for most of her adult life until her retirement at the age of 70. Her passion towards business was second to the love and enjoyment she held for her children and family. She was a kind and gentle woman who will be greatly missed by the lives she touched. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Maryanne Peluso,who died in 1988 and her husband, Henry Golaszewski, who died in 2001. She is survived by her loving sons, Robert Golaszewski and wife Julie of Felton, DE and Henry Golaszewski and wife Barbara of Lynbrook, NY. Also survived by three grandchildren, Christopher, John and Gregory along with two step Grandchildren, Andrea and Jeremy and three great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE. Interment will take place in the Veteran's Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.
