Alexander M. Green, Jr., age 71, of Dover, DE, died April 18, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Alexander M. Green, Sr. and Wanita Hancock Green. Mr. Green had worked as a Police Investigator with the US Post Office retiring in 2005. He and his wife moved from Queens, NY to Dover in 2012. He had enjoyed the time spent with his family and was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Besides his parents Mr. Green was predeceased by his grandson, Anthony. He leaves his loving wife, Joyce Sheehan Green of Dover, DE and his dedicated children; Darlene and husband Michael McGuinness of Ormond Beach, FL, Denise Beaumont of Gloucester, VA, Doreen Green of Queens, NY, Alexander M. Green, III and wife Merlyn of Queens, NY. Also survived by his sister Dolores Harte of Sarasota, Fl. along with his five grandchildren; Mikey, Melanie , Alexis, Hayden and Hayleigh and two great grandchildren, Anthony and Connor. Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Sunday, April 22, 2018 starting at 2 pm at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, DE where Services will begin at 5 pm precisely. Burial will be on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11 am in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
