Daphne R. Dooley age 76 of Dover, DE passed away surrounded by her family on January 22, 2018. Mrs. Dooley emigrated from England and became a US Citizen in 2004. In 1988 she retired from the Jefferson Federal Savings and Loan in Washington, DC where she served as a Branch Manager. She was predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Vera Kelman, along with her brother, Derek Kelman and Stepfather Herman Davis. Mrs. Dooley is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years John E. Dooley of Dover, DE and her loving children Sandra Linnane (Kevin) of Lusby, MD., Lisa Tyler (Dale) of Middletown DE., and Michele Sampson (Sam) of Dover, DE. Mrs. Dooley is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Stephanie, Danielle, Cierra, Austin, Garrett and Emma. 4 great grandchildren, Zane Jr., Natalia, Gracie Mae, and Declan along with her sister Mary. She will be laid to rest at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetary. A Memorial service will be held at a later date for friends and family. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc.
