Obituary for Pauline Marie McCloskey

Pauline M. McCloskey, age 93, of Felton, DE. died August 16, 2017, daughter of the late Jerry and Ursula McCloskey. She was a graduate of Goldey- Beacom College and had served as a Secretary for over 50 years working for Playtex Corp. from 1944 until 1970 and then for the Kent County Engineers She had been a faithful member of Holy Cross Church and a member of the Professional Women’s Association. She enjoyed participating in Night Classes at the University of Delaware and Wesley College throughout the years and in her quieter moments she enjoyed Crossword Puzzles, Crocheting and Reading. Pauline was a kind and gentle lady who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her parents she was pre-deceased by her sister Alice McCloskey and brother Edward McCloskey. She leaves her sister, Helen Mendoza of Pleasant Hill, CA and her care-giver and nephew, John A. McCloskey, of Felton, DE. along with several other nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, August 21, 2017 starting at 11:30 am at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 1 pm at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE followed by Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Dover Modern Maturity Center Front Porch Program or to Holy Cross Church, Dover.
