Obituary for Salvatore Madrechesia

Salvatore Madrechesia, age 93, was born in Vineland, NJ to Carmelo and Ida (Napoli) Madrechesia.
Sal taught Science and Math for nearly 3 decades in Marshallton, Milford and Capital School Districts.
Among his many accomplishments, Sal built three of his homes in which he and his family lived.
In his retirement years, he spent several winters in Arizona where he was active with the Gilbert Senior Center. He was a long-term member of the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, DE and participated in many of the activities they offer, including singing with the Modern Melody Makers. He also enjoyed carpentry, dancing and painting. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Dorothy (Kilgore) Madrechesia, his sisters Angelina DiTomo and Jeannette Tarlow, and his brother Risley Madi.
He is survived by his daughters Robin Rummel of Dover, DE and Anita Morris of Gilbert, AZ. He is also survived by his granddaughter Kimberly Walsh of Dover, DE and grandson Jacob Morris of Gilbert, AZ; his great-granddaughters Juliette Walsh and Evelyn Walsh of Middletown, DE and sister Josephine Culler of NJ along with several nieces and nephews. The family plans a private celebration of his life and asks for donations in his memory be made to Shriners Hospital, 900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607 or phone 855-401-4897.
