Joseph J. Urban, Jr., 81, of Dover, DE, died December 15, 2016. Born in Little Ferry, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Georgiana (Kurtz) Urban. Mr. Urban had served in the US Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Joseph later went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and then served in Management for the Bendix Corporation. He enjoyed antiques, civil war memorabilia, attending auctions, and helping friends. Mr. Urban also shared a deep love for his Bichon puppies. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Urban is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Urban of Dover, DE; his son, Joseph J. Urban, III and wife Josephine, of Rivervale, NJ; his grandchildren, Giuliana and Braden; and his cousin, Carl Dettloff, and wife Ann Lee, of Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, where a Viewing will take place beginning at 11 AM. Interment will
