Jacqulin T. Wood, age 88, of Dover, DE. died April 5, 2016 at the Silver Lake Center in Dover. Born in Arabi, GA, she was the daughter of the late Odell Lea Thompson and Ora Logan Thompson. Mrs. Wood had lived in Farmingdale, NY until 1971 at which time she had moved to Marshallton, DE. She had briefly worked at the WSFS Bank in Newark and later served at the University of Delaware Library in the Periodical Section from 1972 until 1979. She later moved to Hendersonville, NC until 1994 at which time she moved to Dover. As an active senior, Mrs. Wood gave of her time to RSVP which involved her in Bay Health and the Dover Modern Maturity Center activities. She had also been an active member of the Ladies of the Elks in Hendersonville, NC. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Marion Woody Wood who died in July of 1993. Mrs. Wood leaves her loving son, Ronald D. Smith and his wife Alice H. of Dover, DE, and her two grandsons, Mason D. Smith of Boston, MA and Kevin L. Smith and wife Carolyn of Felton, DE; her great grandson, Cole D. Smith of Felton, DE, along with her sister Nancy Garcia of Hedgesville, West VA and brother Joseph L. Thompson of Woodbridge, VA. Friends may call Monday, April 11, 2016 starting at 10 AM at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, where Services will be held at 11 AM. Private Interment will take place in the Newark Cemetery, Newark, DE.
