Pansy 'Pat' Taraila age 72 of Hartly, DE. died October 8, 2010. Born in Clinchco, VA as a 'Real Coal Miner's Daughter' to the late Olan and Nora Davis Powers. She later moved to Hartly, DE where she served as a Postal Worker for the Hartly Post Office until her retirement. Mrs. Taraila had been an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Marydel, MD. for many years and had been a founding member of the Marydel Little League. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always willing to lend a hand on the family farm. She enjoyed pottery, ceramics and knitting, and in her quieter moments she was often found reading. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Annetta Gunter. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Taraila of Hartly, DE. along with her daughter, Darlene Hutson and spouse Tom of Hartly, DE. Three sons; Raymond Taraila, Jr. and spouse Sue of Dover, DE., Gregory Taraila of Marydel, DE., Timothy Taraila and spouse Angel of Hartly, DE. Seven grandchildren; Jeremy Schultz, Timothy Taraila, Raymonf Taraila III, Jamie Taraila, Julia Taraila, Delainy Taraila, and Joe Berry. 2 great grandchildren; Sammy and Madison Schultz. Also survived by her brother in-law John Gunter of Marydel, MD. along with two brothers; Mitchel Powers and spouse Irene of Alexandria, VA. and Raymond Powers of Frederick, MD. Friends may call Wed. eve. from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, Dover, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thurs. 10 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Marydel, MD. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover, DE.
