Andrew Ondish 86 of Dover died July 7, 2011 at the Hospice Center in Milford, DE. Born March 29, 1925, in Swoyersville, PA, to the late Andrew and Mary (Tomko) Ondish. He had served in the US Army Air Corps during WW-II and later was graduated from the Wharton School of the University Of Pennsylvania. In 1952 he had worked with the International Latex Corp. in Dover and later with the Reichhold Chemicals Corp. where he served as Controller of the Emulsion Polymers Division retiring in 1990. He was an active member of the Delaware Chapter of the Institute Of Management Accountants where he had served as President. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son, Jeffry J. Ondish, three sisters and one brother. Mr. Ondish leaves his wife of 58 yrs., Florence M. Ondish of Dover; two sons, Andrew F. and wife Patricia of Elkton, MD and David M. and wife Susan of Rehoboth Beach, DE; four daughters, Debra M. Semple and husband James of Felton, DE, Cheryl A. Cherney and husband Laurence of East Windsor, NJ, Marilyn J. Malear and husband Bryan of Lockhart, TX, and Patricia L. Triviets of Bear, DE. His sister Helen Pliska of W. Wyo., PA; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 1 P.M. on Wed. July 13, 2011 at Holy Cross Church S. State St. Dover. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Friends may call Tuesday eve. from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso 1175 S. State St. Dover, De 19901.
