Virginia R. “Ginny” Longo, 76 of Camden-Wyo., DE died June 20, 2014 at the Milford Hospice Center in Milford, DE. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Young Walsh. Mrs. Longo had served for many years as a Volunteer at the Bay Health Medical Center Cancer Unit. In her quieter moments she enjoyed the time spent with her family and close friends. Throughout the years she had enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of cruises. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Walsh, and her husband, Nicholas J. Longo who died in 1998.
Mrs. Longo leaves her three loving children; Dean J. Longo of Newport News, VA, Ronald K. Longo of Charlotte, NC, Kelly N. Longo of Camden, DE along with her five grandchildren; Megan McLawhorn of Dallas, TX, Ryan Longo of Newport News, VA, Mason Longo of Charlotte, NC, Mitchell Longo of Charlotte, NC and Kyle Longo of Camden, DE. She is also survived by 1 brother and 3 sisters; John Walsh of Hartly, DE, Eileen Neidhart of Felton, DE, Diane Figario of Rising Sun, DE, and Ruthie Jessen of Camden, DE.
Relatives and friends are invited to Services at 2 P.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, DE. where friends may call starting at 1 P.M. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Susan G.
