Robert Paul “Scooter Bob” Long, age 74, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 . Bob was born in Lebanon, PA, to the late Paul and Madeleine (Reuther) Long.
He graduated from Newmanstown High School and later served in the US Navy. In 1995 he retired from the Pennsylvania State Police as a Detective and Polygraph Examiner. Bob enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and feeding the ducks at Bowers Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Therese (Culley) Long, and stepdaughter Alisha Trio and spouse Vince. He is also survived by his former wife, Kathleen (Miller), with whom he had 4 children; son Michael and wife Stacey, daughter Terry Drass and husband Tony, son Randy and wife Ida, son Brian and wife Kris; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Family and friends are invited to attend services at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE, at 1 PM on Friday, June 19, 2015.
