Donna Alice Lynch Hugg, 69, formerly of Dover, died peacefully on May 16, 2014 after a long battle with illness. Born in Milford, DE, she was the daughter of the late Allan Lynch and Alice (Kitchens) Lynch.
After marriage, Donna lived in Manhattan and Annapolis, MD, before returning to Dover, Delaware. After her son started school, Donna pursued, and excelled at higher education, eventually earning a Master's degree. Donna worked in accounting for the State of Delaware, Kent County and Maple Dale Country Club. She also enjoyed many years of teaching accounting at Delaware Technical & Community College. Eventually, Donna started her own office service and book keeping business.
While Donna spent many years camping with her family, enjoying sites and exploring much of the United States and parts of Canada, she always considered Delaware home. Her final move was in 2004 to be close to her grandchildren in Columbus, NJ.
Donna was an avid gardener, loved flowers and cats, enjoyed reading, and cherished time with her grandchildren. While in Dover, she was a member of the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, and in Columbus she was active with the Mansfield Seniors Club.
She is survived by her son Stephen, and wife Dawn, of Columbus, New Jersey; a brother, Allan and wife Dale, of Milford, Delaware; also survived by four grandchildren, Stephanie, Seth, E. Quentin, and Garrett, also of Columbus, New Jersey.
A Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, where services will be held at Noon. Interment will follow at Odd Fellow's Cemetery in Milford, Delaware.
