Elizabeth “Betty” Gooch, 70, of Dover, passed away at her home on August 30, 2011. Born in Pleasantville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Louise May Gallo. Betty had worked as a civilian employee for The Delaware State Police and in her later years she had worked for The Delaware State Police Federal Credit Union. Mrs. Gooch had been a member of Holy Cross Church and was fond of horses and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Betty was a caring mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Gooch was predeceased by her daughter, Deanna Wilson, in 1986. She is survived by her loving son, James W. Gooch, Jr. and wife Lori, of Magnolia and two grandchildren, Kiefer and Remy.
A viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 where friends may call starting at 10:30 a.m. at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following the viewing at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, Dover. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Life’s End Services are by Michael J.
