Obituary for James J. Hannan

James Jos. Hannan 86, formerly of Dover, currently of Woodbury, NJ died July 15, 2014.
Born in Weehawken, NJ, he was the son of the late James J. and Mary F. Hannan. Mr. Hannan was a 1951 graduate of Seton Hall University and had served in the US Army during the Korean War. Throughout his career as a Data Processing Mgr. Mr. Hannan had worked for several companies retiring from Parts Distributors, where he served as Data Processing Manager. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of Holy Cross Church. His hobbies included boating on the Chesapeake Bay, gardening, and cheering for the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. In his quieter moments he enjoyed being quite the handyman. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed the company of his relatives and friends.
Mr. Hannan leaves his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann Hannan, four children; James M. Hannan and spouse Janet M., Kathleen M. Bardeer, Patricia Ann Weidemann and Brian W. Hannan and spouse, Kathleen M. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kyle T. Bardeer, Meghan M. Bardeer, Colleen M. Hannan, Ryan P. Bardeer, Sarah M. Hannan, Cole W. Hannan, Shane R. Hannan, Kiera G. Hannan, and his loving dog, “Carly.”
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE, where friends may call starting at 9:30 a.m. Interment with Honors will take place in the Bg. William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
