Filippa “Pia” D’Angelo, age 90, of Dover, DE died January 3, 2015 in Lebanon, NJ. Born in Paceco, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Vincenza Gentile.
Mrs. D’Angelo was an active member of Holy Cross Church where she had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was also an active member of the Alliance Of The Two Hearts. She had been a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Tony D’Angelo in 1992 and her siblings, Maria, Camilla, Giosi, Maria Antonia, and Francesca, and granddaughter, Marie Antoinette. Mrs. D’Angelo leaves her loving children, Josephine and spouse Giovanni Millocca, of Neshanic Station, NJ, Gaspar and spouse Bernadette D’Angelo of Smyrna, DE her grandson, Frankie Millocca of Neshanic Station, NJ, and two sisters, Palma Amorosa, of Civitavecchia, Italy, and Antonina DeFilippi, of Queens, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM on Thurs. January 8, 2015 at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE. A Visitation will be held on Wed. eve. from 6 until 8 PM at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover.
